Melbourne is a very striking city with great cultural diversity. It is a city of festivals and events and the pace of life here is very quick.

When I first came to Melbourne, I found the lifestyle very different – even the smell of the air was different! However, I enjoy the lifestyle of people here, who work hard for five days and have great fun on the weekend. In my leisure time, I really enjoy the beaches, clubs and tourist attractions surrounding Melbourne. 

Studying at Victoria University has been a good experience for me and I have enjoyed my time here. Studying in Victoria is a practical experience and Universities let students focus on practical experiences in order to learn from real life.

I also found the university staff and professors very cooperative and supportive. My professors let me know that I could talk to them at any time about any problems I was having.

The facilities at the University are all of high quality and fully lived up to my expectations. I made good use of all facilities including the library, engineering laboratories and group discussion rooms and the sports, fitness & aquatic centres were I played indoor soccer & cricket.

I am currently living with my friends in shared accommodation near the University. I definitely think shared accommodation is a good option because it is easier to save money!

My fondest memories of Melbourne include the fact that I was lucky enough to gain a scholarship from the Victorian Government to study in Melbourne. I am also gaining good marks in my course subjects so successfully completing my Engineering degree will also be a good memory.

Currently, my goal is to successfully complete my Engineering degree and then work as a professional Engineer in a leading multi-national company in Australia.
